BENEFITING: Brothers and Sisters in Community Service
EVENT DATE: Jun 24, 2016
Hello Family and Friends
As part of our Catholic Faith both Tori and I have chosen to be a part of an immersion trip to Tijuana. We are doing this through Ressurection parish. We will be going over with 75 others from both Resurrection and St. Simons parish on July 9, 2016. We be collaboration with San Eugenio Parish in Tijuana. We will be putting our faith into action by helping those in Tijuana who have too little to eat, have too little shelter, and struggle each day to find work and ways to care for their family. We will be there for a week and will help build three homes for three different families, as well as work with these moms, teens, and children. We each need to raise $500.
While we pay for our travel and lodging expenses, we are fundraising to cover the construction material costs. To give you an idea of our needs:
$25 - Half a Window
$50 - A 3ft x2ft Slider Window
$100 - An Exterior Door with Hardware & Keys
$200 - A 8ft x 8ft Exterior Wall - Studs, Wood siding, Paint
$500 - Electricity - Wiring, Panel, Lights, Outlets
$1000 - 32ft x 16ft Concrete Slab Foundation
$2,500 - Roof with 17 prefabricated wood trusses
$6,500 - Entire New Home for a Family in Desparate Need
All donations are tax-deductible and you'll receive a reciept for filing with your tax return.
