StartingBloc NFP wrote -The StartingBloc Fellowship begins with the Institute for Social Innovation.
The Institute is a five-day transformative experience that equips global leaders with the skills and the network needed to catalyze lasting change.
The Institute curriculum includes an innovative case-study competition and sessions with industry leaders.
The DET '13 Institute Program will consist of ::
• Progressive Education. Participants learn from leading industry practitioners about the latest in corporate social innovation, social entrepreneurship, cross-sector partnerships, and lasting change.
• Skills training. Through entrepreneurial casework and interactive activities, Candidates for the Fellowship learn important leadership skills.
• Resource Networks. Participants create deep, lasting relationships with peers through team projects and experiential workshops.
As a result of participating in the Institute, Fellows will gain the resources and the tools needed to launch and manage successful, innovative, cutting-edge projects and ventures. Since inception in 2003, StartingBloc has mobilized thousands of young change agents to pursue their passions and drive social change around the world.
The 2013 Detroit Institute will take place August 1 - 5, 2013.
