We're Team Lafayette Lady Hikers! Courtney Anderson, Stefanie Cannizzo, Wendy Duncan, Janene Goodman, Alexa Kelly, Kelly Mains, Betsy Morris, Darci Olson, Amy Parlett, Kendra Quintella, Taber Reiner, and Leanne Zimmerman. On Sunday, October 19, we are hiking up Mt. Diablo to raise awareness of Shelter, Inc. and its mission to end homelessness in Contra Costa County.
For over 25 years, SHELTER, Inc. has been working to realize a vision: A Home For Everyone. Every day, one family at a time, SHELTER, Inc. helps people find and keep homes.
Last year, SHELTER, Inc. helped over 5,500 men, women and children in Contra Costa County; almost half of them were children. Their mission—to prevent and end homelessness among low-income residents of Contra Costa County by providing resources that lead to self-sufficiency. Since 1986, SHELTER, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, has been meeting the housing needs of low-income families, whether facing eviction, struggling to get off the streets or in need of affordable housing. SHELTER, Inc. is highly successful— over 85% of those served maintain their housing and stay off the streets.
Please join us to help to end homelessness in our County. We thank you for your support!
