Thank you for your support to help women fighting cancer!
June 15, 2016
My story is a one of joy right now. I had great health insurance, family and friends to support me and an abiding faith that my illness was in service to God's plan.
Although diagnosed with a tough form of breast cancer in 2009, i am able to tell my story as one of resilience and well-being. Staying focused on being a servant, i was blessed repeatedly with opportunities to be reminded of that role. By 2010, mid-way through chemo, Stephanie's Pink Army formed to raise money for a local organization to provide wigs, prostheses, reconstructive breast surgery, nausea meds and other meaningful services to women with cancer. Sadie Mae's son started a 5K on the Atlantic City boards and it was a great feeling to participate and to do something so positive during that challenging time.
VERY recently, I have finally been told "You are cancer free". It was such a relief to hear that I can go to the doctor's office only once a year (instead of 3 to 4 times a year).
So many women are not so lucky. I have found another organization like Sadie Mae's to be able to help women with the daily needs of fighting cancer. Health insurance deductibles, reconstructive surgery and even babysitting services for a young mom can take such a toll on a family.
I am telling this story to ask that you consider making a tax-deductible contribution to support my fundraising efforts. Here’s an example of what your donation will provide:
*$25 - $50 provides gas card to assist with a tank of gas to get back and forth to treatment.
*$100 buys a woman a new wig or provides a patient with a month’s supply of nutritional supplements
*$200 will provide a woman with a new breast form.
*$250 will provide one Electro larynx to help a head and neck cancer patient speak again.
*$500 provides a cancer patient currently in treatment with a three month supply of medication assistance.
*$1600 provides a cancer patient currently in treatment an eight month supply of medication assistance.
You can make this online donation to support me by clicking DONATE. Whatever you can give will help. Thank you. I really want to win and make a difference for cancer-stricken women.
