Stephanie's Journey with Lupus, Fibromyalgia and Depression!
Organized by: Pamela Ramirez
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and lupus over 20 years ago. Although I was in extreme pain, I managed to work full time and raised a family of 5 children and 1 grand baby. Last august, I was diagnosed with major depression. It was a complication of the fibro and chronic pain. Due to my condition, I could not be released back to work. It has been 8 months and since I developed dementia as well, it has impacted my cognitive abilities. My condition is not only impacting me but also my family. Due to the amount of office visits, tests and counseling, our medical bills have escalating. My prescriptions are outrageous! I have to pay hundreds of dollars each month for me and then for my husband, suffering with arthritis of his spine, my son suffering with asthma and depression and my daughter with fibromyalgia and depression. My daughter is also in college with a huge tuition bill. She is getting her degree in physiology. I'm reaching out for donations to help our situation. I had to swallow my pride and also let people know about my depression which sometimes is a stigma with some people. Any amount you can contribute will help. Please consider my request for help and your good thoughts to us to overcome our need. thank you!
