I have dedicated my career to strengthening and supporting the recovery community because I believe that recovery from substance abuse is possible and that RECOVERY IS REAL! There are tens of thousands of Minnesotans in long-term recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. What that means for them is that they haven't used a drug or alcohol in over two years. They are people that are contributing to society through their recovery by being good friends, parents, employees and citizens.
Minnesota Recovery Connection's mission is to strengthen the recovery community through peer-to-peer support, public education and advocacy.
On September 15, 2012, Minnesota Recovery Connection will be holding the second annual Walk For Recovery at Lake of the Isles in Minneapolis. This event provides an opportunity to highlight that RECOVERY WORKS!
Your financial support means that MN Recovery Connection will continue to 1) provide FREE peer-to-peer support for those initiating or trying to sustain their recovery efforts; 2) provide public education around addiction recovery, which reduces stigma associated with substance abuse addiction, and 3) continue to advocate for the recovery community.
When individuals get support for the substance abuse recovery, we all benefit because it leads to employment, health, and community.
I am hoping you will consider supporting my efforts!
