BENEFITING: THE RECOVERY RIDE
So many lives have been touched and improved by virtue of contact with Stepping Stone – primarily the clients we have served, but also the staff, volunteers, Board of Directors, and the community at large.
Will you help us with our important work?
Since 1976, Stepping Stone has focused on providing recovery services for the San Diego LGBT community. Over its 39 year history, Stepping Stone has helped thousands of men and women recover from a seemingly hopeless life of alcoholism, drug addiction, and co-occurring disorders and situations that often accompany those issues.
We have so many success stories to talk about - like the following:
STEPPING STONE - SAVING LIVES
“Fours year ago, I lost everything and became homeless because of drugs and alcohol. I was not only dealing with my addiction while on the streets, but was also fighting to keep my health stable because of my HIV status. I turned to Stepping Stone for help and they gave me the second chance I needed. They not only helped me get sober, but also provided me with a home through their sober living program and helped me with getting a job. Now I have my own place, car, and a stable job. I continue to volunteer at Stepping Stone and I will always be grateful for the program that saved my life.” - WS
We are grateful to receive some funding from the County of San Diego to provide our services, but it does not cover all of our costs. We rely on outside support to continue our mission.
Thank you for supporting Stepping Stone. You are the heroes that are making a difference for our 31 residents, and allowing us to march smartly and confidently into the future.
