Steps4Hope 5k Run - Substance Abuse Prevention
Organized by: Lauren Mulhern
EVENT DATE Oct 16, 2016
The third annual Steps4Hope 5k run / 1M walk is being held on Sunday, October 16th at Ridley Creek State Park. I stumbled upon this organization two years ago when I decided to look for a local race to complete my first 5k. What an amazing coincidence that I found the Steps4Hope 5k... an event created to raise funds for substance abuse prevention, and it was being held only days after Matthew's birthday.
Two years later, just after Matt's 37th birthday, my family and I will be participating in this event for the third time in his memory, and would love for you to join us for the event and/or make a contribution to this amazing non-profit foundation. Steps4Hope is committed to raising awareness of substance use disorders. They support and partner with both local and national organizations, such as Shatterproof, The Herren Project, The Adolescent Awareness Foundation, Be a Part of the Conversation and Narcotics Overdose Prevention and Education (NOPE). These important organizations educate students and communities, and work to end the stigma associated with the disease of addiction. Please join us to help end this public health crisis.
100% of funds raised will be given to Steps4Hope.
