Hey guys!!!! :D
I am a PROUD alumni of EMIA 2007!
My time at EMIA was by far the greatest summer of my life. Up to that point I spent many years contemplating giving up on dance, but EMIA became the key to my reawakening! It was the most challenging and exciting experience I had encountered. I had no idea the treasures that I would find along the journey. The rigorous program trains any artist with the desire to succeed in dance, for the realities of perusing a profession in the field. From weekly auditions, to an exposure of an abundance of choreographers, EMIA sets you up for any challenge! Even for those who dance as a hobby, EMIA builds character, confiedence, and purpose!
To top it off, attending EMIA was the bridge to my first professional job with Camille A. Brown, who I danced with for three years before becoming a member of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in 2011.
I have so much appreciation of Mr. Mosley, who is the heart behind the magic, and my EMIA family. They truly saved my love for dance. I went to EMIA in what felt like a dark time in my life, where thoughts of giving up where strong and inviting, but after my summer at EMIA my love for dance and mission to thrive was reignited!!! Thank you EMIA for EVERYTHING!!
We must help keep this program alive!!! Mr. Mosley is changing lives, not just for a summer, but truly for a LIFETIME!!! PLEASE help donate in ANY way you can :D
