BENEFITING: OKLAHOMA CITY NATIONAL MEMORIAL FOUNDATION
EVENT: Oklahoma City Marathon 2013
EVENT DATE: Apr 28, 2013
On April 19, 1995, the ground shook violently throughout Oklahoma City as a truck bomb detonated in front of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal building downtown. The blast took 168 precious lives, left more than 500 injured, and brought the city to its knees. This marathon signifies the indomitable spirit of communities like OKC around the globe. I am running to join in the resounding voice of everyone, both alive and departed, who believes that we can and will rise together. Though we are broken, we are not defeated.
Every dime donated will be sown directly to support and sustain the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum in honor and memory of those whose lives were lost, and those whose lives were forever changed.
