The Red Cross responds to a disaster in San Diego approximately once every 24 hours! We provide families in need with shelter, food, water, first aid and emotional support. It takes the whole community to get them back on their feet and the Red Cross wants to continue to work to make that happen quickly. With generous and thoughtful support, we are there - neighbors helping neighbors. We depend on the donations we receive to support the many clients we help every day and that is why we are asking YOU to help us in providing a Shelter of Hope to our neighbors in crisis. It costs an average of $550 to help one family of three recover from a disaster. Please join me in helping this worthy organization! To raise awareness of the tremendous work that the SD Red Cross does, our CEO Bill Earley, will be living in a disaster shelter June 1 - June 7, traveling to a new location in the county each day. Bill and the rest of our team will be popping up in some fun and unexpected places. Stay tuned to keep track of Bill in his travels!
