The journey out of homelessness requires many steps – as does running 26.2 miles. That’s why Team St. Francis House assists our marathon runners with their fundraising efforts, so that they can help hundreds of homeless men and women who want to rebuild their lives.
By supporting our team, you will help the most vulnerable among us take one step forward, then another and another until they achieve independence from shelters and institutions.
Our fundraising goal is ambitious – $25,000 – because we believe that no one is beyond hope. If you agree, please make a generous gift today. And join us in March for a pre-marathon Race to the Finish Line event, hosted by the Friends of Frank, a group of young professionals who support our mission of ending homelessness in Greater Boston. Details to be announced soon.
Our four runners are Carleen Tucker, Chris Hunter, Shannon Massey, and Sarah Nelson. To support their efforts, visit www.stfrancishouse.org/marathon2012.
Together, we can empower our neighbors to go the distance and be victorious in life. That’s the most important race of all.
