Stinley's Feministic Adventures
Organized by: Stanley Montijo
Hello fellow feminists, My partner and I have been active in our local chapter of Feministik Initiative for a few years now, and have been able to watch the party grow into one of the world's strongest voices in feminist movement. Though we are still a very tiny grassroots organization (our local chapter only has a dozen or so activist members) we can see the ideals of feminism grow throughout or community and the world. My partner and I want to take the next step and begin volunteer teaching assignments in Africa and other sub-Saharan countries. We want to bring the feminist ideology along with practical scholastic learning to those in need. We have specifically found a school for orphans and the disadvantaged in Ghana, where my partner has previously taught, that we would like to volunteer at. Though we will be offering or services for free to the school we are still responsible for travel and accommodations. The more we can raise the less burden we put on the school itself, and any excess donations will go directly to the school in Ghana. We are asking for your help and support to make this dream a reality. This is hopefully the first step towards making these trips happen several times a year with many other groups throughout many other countries. Our ideas are only as big as your and our hearts. Let these two bleeding heart feminists follow in their dreams. Every person that donates will also be able to follow our adventures through videos and photos that we will personal send to each person. Puss Puss kopis. Tack så mycket!
