Each year almost 22,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer - 200 in the St. Louis area alone. Often they are diagnosed in the later stages when the prognosis is poor, this is because symptoms can be mistaken for other less serious issues, and there is no diagnostic test.
St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness is committed to impacting ovarian cancer survivorship by promoting awareness of early warning signs and standards of care, funding ovarian cancer research, and supporting survivors.
While this is only our second year participating in the GO! for a Cause program, it has quickly become one of our larger fundraising sources. We hope you will consider joining Team SLOCA or pledging to support on of our runners. Your support makes a difference!
