BENEFITING: STOKED MENTORING
EVENT DATE: May 06, 2012
Team Stoked is participating in the TD Bank 5 Boro Bike Tour on May 6, 2012. That means our very own Team Stokers will be riding traffic-free for 40 miles through all five boroughs with 32,000 other cyclists, all while raising funds for Stoked's action sports youth development programs.
About the Bike Tour:
In 2012, the TD 5 Boro Bike Tour will occur on Sunday, May 6. The Bike Tour starts north of Battery Park and runs up Manhattan, through Central Park, around a brief loop in the Bronx, and down to the Queensboro Bridge passing countless New York City icons on the way. After a ride over the Pulaski Bridge passing through Brooklyn, riders enjoy an incredible view from the lower deck of the Verrazano Bridge. The tour ends on Staten Island for a lively outdoor Festival, including bike demos, giveaways, games, food, product samples, stretching, massage, and photo booths.
About Team Stoked:
Team Stoked is a group of people who support Stoked’s action sports youth development programs by participating in a variety of events and campaigns to raise funding for the organization. Regardless of skill level, members of Team Stoked can choose to be part of athletic events or online fundraising efforts to help support Stoked’s mission to promote personal development, academic achievement, and healthy living to under-served youth through action sports culture. 100% of the funds raised by Team Stoked directly support Stoked’s youth development programs for underprivileged youth in New York City and Los Angeles.
Stoked has 10 spots in the bike tour, and cyclists must commit to fundraising a minimum of $1,000 to participate. Please note the minimum commitment ($1000) is due in full on May 6. The deadline to register for the 5 Boro Bike Tour with Team Stoked is Monday, April 19. We encourage any interested applicants to register as soon as possible due to space availability.
