BENEFITING: STOMP THE MONSTER INC
ORGANIZER: STOMP THE MONSTER INC
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2016
I am so stoked to be racing for STOMP the Monster for my third year! Thank you again to everyone that has helped cancer patients and their families by previously donating! This year I will be running the 2016 TCS New York City Marathon for STOMP the Monster. Last year, I raced the international distance at the New Jersey State Triathlon with Team STOMP. In 2014, I raced Ironman Princeton 70.3 with Team STOMP.
I am very proud to be a member of Team STOMP the Monster, as they are an organization that I really believe in, and I am so happy to be able to continue to support what they do.
With your generous donation to STOMP the Monster, you will help make a difference in the lives of cancer patients when they need it most – during their battle with the disease.
STOMP the Monster™ is a 501(c)3, not for profit organization. STOMP the Monster™ provides financial and other support to cancer patients, their families, and caregivers, including transportation, gas money, food cards, assistance paying bills, and much more. We promote a healthy lifestyle with proper diet and exercise, and promote funding for potential advances in prevention and treatment.
As you may or may not know, I battled issues with both of my hips for almost a decade. I had 5 hip surgeries and underwent extensive therapy, including neuromuscular retraining, and soft tissue management. When I raced with Team STOMP the Monster at Ironman Princeton 70.3, I was stunned afterwards. I felt so fortunate to be able to overcome the issues with my hips and to be able to help others by doing so. While my hip issues are absolutely not the same as cancer, it was a very difficult experience, and I received help financially and emotionally from my phenomenal support system.
Whether it is cancer or any other physical or mental illness, we all need to look out for each other. I would not be where I am today without the support I received, and that is why I joined Team STOMP The Monster and continue to race for people that really need our help.
We appreciate any help that you can provide! Thank you!
