When I finished the Boston Marathon in 2010, I vowed I'd run the NYC Marathon as soon as I could. Well after 4 years of recovering from those grueling 26.2 miles, I'm signed up for NYC this November! The training has begun and the countdown is on, but I need everyone's help.
I've decided to raise funds to help cancer patients. Cancer is something that touches us all--some reading this may be survivors themselves. Everyone I know has aunts, uncles, grandparents, moms, dads, brothers, sisters, friends, neighbors, and coworkers that have been affected by this horrible disease. STOMP The Monster™ is doing something about this.
STOMP The Monster™ is an organization that a high school buddy of mine helped found and is currently on the board of directors. They provide financial and other support to cancer patients, their families, and caregivers when they need it most – during their fight with the disease. STOMP The Monster™ promotes a healthy lifestyle with proper diet and exercise, leading by example, and provide funding for potential advances in prevention and treatment.
Please help me help them help people. I've committed to raising AT LEAST $2700 by the time I run the NYC Marathon in November.
Thank you all!
