Stone Soup Garden- Legacy of Love and Healing
Organized by: Tammie Wilson
The Stone Soup Garden - Legacy of Love and Healing Garden attained our 501 c3 charitable organization identification in the Spring of 2015. Since then we have raised and delivered 1500 pounds of chemical free non-genetically modified food to our community, food banks, and churches. We assisted two homeless families off the streets and ministered to many others who struggle in our community. We plan to expand our operation this year 2016, and provide cooking classes and workshops for those who want to learn to garden in small spaces and to cook and preserve their garden bounty. We are working to foster relationships within our community that offer families a place to teach their children to grow chemical free food and to eat healthy. We are also planning to open a produce stand where the surplus food from the garden can be sold to support the garden in the future, and a place for other members of our community to come and sell their wares. This year we need a variety of materials to see the garden to fruition. Please help us to continue to offer these valuable resources to the community, and continue to offer a refuge for those who hunger for new life.
