As a supporter of the Trenton YMCA, you understand that we are currently providing an invaluable service at an incredibly affordable rate. That’s why your commitment to help raise $30,000 to support our Summer Camp scholarship program is so important! The YMCA has a long standing history in the Mercer County area of providing children with the tools to build a strong future and the Y Summer Camp helps maintain that commitment all year long! Summer is a time for fun, new exploration and continued learning, but many families in our community cannot afford the investment of Summer Camp.

Last year the Trenton YMCA provided Summer Camp opportunites to more than 200 children in the Trenton-Ewing area.  85% of the children who attended the camp last year were provided some type of subsidy.  The Y not only lowered its camp tuition to allow for maximum community participation, we also provided nearly $30,000 of scholarships to families in need.  Unfortunately, the need of families has grown even larger this year, while resources have dwindled.

In order to fulfill the growing need, we have embraced a campaign that will provide families with hope and opportunity.  20 leaders have been chosen to identify 50 donors who will give a minimum of $30 apiece over the next 60 days.  We will accept any size gift on behalf of Trenton  families, from $1-$1,000. The goal of this campaign is to engage more than 1,000 people in our community focusing on a cause that assists someone less fortunate than themselves.

With a ‘little help from you and your friends‘- we can provide 50 children with the chance to have a fantastic summer!
