Stop the Shaft
Organized by: Jennifer Scura
In short, I want to "be the Lorax" but in this day and age you need a lawyer to be an effective Lorax; concerned residents like myself are therefore trying to raise money so we can pay for legal representation, as well as promotional awareness funds, to be sure the Delaware Aquaduct (and protected Wetlands & countless indigenous wildlife) stay out of harm's way during proposed residential development in Gardiner, NY. I represent all the people of Gardiner (and the metro NY area) that want to be sure that the Wetlands and wildlife currently thriving in our community are protected from over development of residential housing currently proposed near Shaft Rd. Time is running out. We must act now! A Public Hearing will be held on October 18, 2016 at Gardiner Town Hall. Please join us in person at Town Hall or show your support for a small-town effort that could have big-city consequences with a monetary donation so we can get legal representation and be prepared to properly speak for the land and the wildlife that can't speak for itself.
