Distracted Driving killed 5,500 people in 2009 and injured more than 500,000! This was due to texting, talking on cell phones, applying makeup, eating while driving, changing radio stations, CDs, etc. Teens need to be aware of how dangerous it is to take your eyes off the road for even ONE SECOND. No text or phone call is worth any person's life. This is becoming a worldwide epidemic. If young people learn early to keep their phones off and put away while they are driving, we can put a stop to so many needless accidents and save precious lives. Start educating children and adults as to the dangers of distracted driving!
