BENEFITING: MRSA FOUNDATION
In 2007 my family went on vacation to Hawaii for my parents 25th wedding anniversary, while in Hawaii my mom Lisha Beshers was in an accident where she broke her neck, and she had to receive surgery. In 2011 she started suffering complications due to the surgery that was performed. Once she went to the hospital it was reveled that she had MRSA that was caused by the hardware in her neck. She was able to beat her first battle she seemed to be free of the MRSA, but on February 9th 2014 she was rushed to the hospital because of breathing complications. She went into respiratory failure, and was revived at the hospital. After many tests it seemed the MRSA had returned, but was in her lungs. My mom fought hard for two weeks to beat the bacteria once again, but unfortunately she passed away on February 23, 2014. Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)is a bacteria that is a strain of staphylococcus aureus or staph. This strain of staph is harder to treat, because it is resistant to some common antibiotics. This fundraiser is to help the MRSA foundation raise awareness about the bacteria, and to help fund research. The money raised can help prevent and even eradicate this bacteria. All money donated will go straight to the MRSA foundation. Thank you for your help.
