Surgery has been postponed to go over new results from latest tests. Thank you for your continuing support and prayers! See More

At the age of 3 Isabelle Vasquez was diagnosed with an ACTA 2 Gene Mutation. The ACTA2 gene provides instructions for making a protein called smooth muscle alpha (α)-2 actin, which is part of the actin protein family. Actin proteins are important for cell movement and the tensing (contraction) of muscles. Although there are many who have a similar mutation, she is one of the rare few that has this specific one which has many symptoms for her. This includes but is not limited to issues with her eyes, urological areas, aorta dilations, and the worst is strokes. Right now Isabelle is spending her 10th night in UCSF Benioff awaiting surgery. This money is to help her parents, siblings and family be with her during this dangerous procedure. Any money not used will then be donated or used to buy items to donate to the PICU nurses, who are part of the foundation of her health and recovery. Thank you so much for your help!
