Strength For Steve

Chicago Primal

On April 23, a primal team of 45+ competitors will join forces to deadlift and snatch in order to raise funds for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in memory of Steve Cochran! Chicago Primal Gym is honored to support the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in memory of Steve Cochran, who passed away from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis on February 11th, 2012 at the age of 62. Steve's son, Kevin, is the oldest friend of CPG owner, Sean Griffin. Kevin helped set up the original CPG back in 2013 and has since been a valuable member of the Primal Tribe. Without his unwavering support, CPG could not be what it is today. The Primal Tribe has raised over $5,000 the past two years for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. This year our goal is to triple this total in funds raised! We're doing this through a "pledge drive" for our upcoming Tactical Strength Challenge. On April 23, over 45 Primal competitors will give their best in StrongFirst's Tactical Strength Challenge. This worldwide strength competition consists of three events: - A max deadlift - Pullups for max reps - Kettlebell snatches for max reps in a 5:00 time period Donating to the cause is easy. Just follow these simple steps: 1) pick a competitor to support 2) choose the event (deadlift or snatch) you'll pledge donations to 3) pledge a donation based on competitor performance
