BENEFITING: Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association
EVENT DATE: Oct 09, 2016
This has been quite a year since my dad passed. My family and I have decided not to join the regular OC ALS walks that we have been doing every year, so I decided to do something different as I still believe in hopes of finding a cure for ALS. I hate to see anyone suffer through what my dad had been through!
Reason why I choose another marathon as running has always been my passion, and I remember the days when dad and I woke up early one morning to go watch the runners take off for the Surf City marathon when I was in high school. This took off my career in running, and since then, my dad has always been my biggest supporter! He has even made a trip up to San Francisco to watch my first marathon in 2007.
On top of running as being my passion, fundraising is another one of mine, whether it's something small or big, I love to help out in any way I can, and of course I'll do it as a challenge!
I have set to fundraise to the OC ALS Chapter as they have supported my dad in his 5 years of battling ALS, and I enjoy being around the great team of people that make the chapter happen. I have truly enjoyed participating in the LA Marathons every year by helping push a person with ALS. Spreading the word and educating others on ALS, as well as meeting other people.
Please have heart to help donate whatever you can! Thank you so much!
