BENEFITING: OPERATION FOR HOPE FOUNDATION INC

EVENT: Strike Out Domestic Violence

EVENT DATE: Jan 26, 2013

THE STORY:

Office of the City Attorney, City of Poway and the Operation For HOPE Foundation are focused on the prevention of domestic violence in our communities and we ask you to join us in breaking cycles of violence.

For the 3rd year, we are taking-on the challenge and participating in ‘Ready to Take the Diamond and Strike Out Domestic Violence Charity Fundraiser.'

Office of the San Diego City Attorney vs. the City of Poway for nine innings of coed soft-toss softball to support the Operation For HOPE Foundation HOPE Fund.

Funds raised will go directly to the HOPE Fund to benefit individuals in need and crisis.

To remove barriers to safety through micro-emergency loans for domestic violence victims and their children

The HOPE Fund removes short term economic barriers by providing emergency assistance with rent, utilities, moving costs, childcare, etc. Economic isolation plays a key role in trapping vulnerable individuals in abusive situations. In a crisis, the HOPE fund can provide immediate access to funds within 24 hours.

The HOPE Fund is a program of and administered by the Operation for HOPE Foundation. Funds are distributed through San Diego Community Partnership Providers who have direct access to domestic violence victims and their families who are at high risk and in need of vital resources in seeking and remaining safe from their abuser. Community Partners in the San Diego region with a proven track record of responding and providing immediate assistance and services during a crisis.

This is a great cause. Playing baseball helps a child in many ways. I wish I could donate more. 5 years ago
