Poverty, Hunger and Homelessness are major issues throughout the world. SMILE is a Center for Independent Living that provides services to people with disability in the southern region of Arizona. Nonprofits like ours relies on grants and the generous contributions from community businesses and community members. Services such as information and referral, peer support, life skills training, and advocacy are just some of the services provided. Independent Living Skills Training is an essential skill everyone can use. For someone with a disability, the independent living skills training teaches various life skills; how to care for themself, how to care for their home, budgeting, write resumes, look for employment, how to maintain employment and more. These necessary skills helps decrease poverty, hunger and are a stepping stone to housing and shelter issues. Your generous contribution to services helping to eliminate poverty, hunger and shelter concerns is greatly appreciated. All contributions will be used to directly support the programs.
