One More Week!!!
April 29, 2016
BENEFITING: Muscular Dystrophy Association
EVENT DATE: May 07, 2016
I grew up knowing that my grandmother had muscular dystrophy, myasthenia gravis, but her strength and determination has always shined brighter than any darkness that could bring her down. She is one of the strongest people I know, and I can only imagine what she could accomplish if she weren't limited by MD. The cure is so close, and every bit counts. I'm running in my third half marathon, and I want it to mean more than just the strength I carry from my family; I want to give back and help others become stronger. I've been running every single day for over 2 years now, and will be running the Twin Lights Half Marathon for my third year in a row. I run because I can, and because I love to. No one should ever have anything taken away from them that they love. I'm running for my grandmother. I'm running for me, my brothers, and anyone who's life has been affected by any form of muscular dystrophy.
