Struggling with kidney failure
Organized by: Lynnette Petersen
My name is Lynnette Petersen and this fundraiser is to help me overcome the hardship of outstanding medical bills. I am 29 years old living with chronic kidney disease stage 4. I only have one kidney and its failing. I had to have my right kidney removed due to complete failure from a UPJ obstruction that caused it to go septic. I went to UCSF on February 22nd, 2016 for renal surgery and they saved my life. Now I'm experiencing symptoms of stage 4 kidney failure and I am struggling every day. My symptoms have gotten so bad that I am having to go back to UCSF to plan for dialysis. I'm very afraid that I will be confined to life support and my whole life is going to change. Now I'm stuck with medical bills that I have no way of being able to pay them. I live on social security and do have Medicare but they will only cover some of the bills. I don't have secondary insurrance because medi-cal cancelled my partnership plan. I only get enough money to pay for rent each month and am on food stamps to eat. So please help me if you are able to because I really need support and a quality of life. Thank you sooo much everyone for your kindness and helping hand. I will appreciate the donations. I wrote my CKD story to share with others that may feel alone in their journey so hopefully it helps a lot of people. Know that they are not alone.
