BENEFITING: Green Schools Alliance
EVENT DATE: Jun 26, 2016
Sponsor a student for this inspirational and empowering conference!
Coordinated by the GSA and hosted by the U.S. Fish Wildlife Service’s National Conservation Training Center (NCTC), outstanding students and faculty who have demonstrated environmental leadership are nominated by their schools, and selected to travel to Washington to participate in a six-day congress.
The mission of the Sc3 Congress is to empower participants with the skills, knowledge, and tools necessary to become global leaders in their own communities. Located outside Washington, DC, fellows live at NCTC for 6 days and learn about the interconnectedness of the environment, science and the economy from NCTC scientists, world-renown environmental experts and policy-makers. Fellows are asked to make a year-long commitment, and return to their schools and communities to plant the seeds of change and engage other students on the grassroots level. Sc3 personal commitments are followed and supported by volunteer Sc3 coordinators.
Sc3 is inspiring local action and helping to prepare youth for the new green economy! For more information on the congress, visit www.greenschoolsalliance.org/sc3_congress.
