BENEFITING: DOMINICAN ACADEMY OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK
ORGANIZER: DOMINICAN ACADEMY OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK
EVENT DATE: Nov 29, 2016
My name is Ollie and I am a Sophomore at Dominican Academy in New York City. I feel extremely grateful for being given an amazing opportunity to attend such a wonderful high school in the heart one of the most beautiful cities in the world!
This fundraiser was created to help fund my school and without it, I would not be able to receive the excellent education that I am able to currently. To prevent my school's tuition from rising, a school-wide fundraiser was created in which every student at Dominican Academy personally fundraises some money to directly help her school.
My mission is to support my school, Dominican Academy, the best way that I can. And you, too, can aid me in this mission. I ask for any donations to be made, and even the smallest of donations count! My school will also highly appreciate your donation, and a personalized letter will be sent to every donor of this fundraiser. By donating to this fundraiser, you directly invest in the education that Dominican Academy offers to bright, intellectual girls in New York City.

Each year we rely on our students, parents, alumnae and friends to provide financial support and help us provide the best possible education to our girls.
- D.A. has been ranked the number six best all girls, Catholic school in New York according to Niche rankings. In addition, we are ranked among the top 100 catholic schools in the country and have five national National Merit Scholars including a National Merit Semi Finalist who placed in the top 1% of students nationwide.
- Our girls will be learning studio art in front of works by the Great Masters. Starting in January 2016, D.A. will partner with The Frick Museum to offer sketching classes taught by art professionals.
- We now offer more advanced placement courses than any other Catholic high school in New York. This year in addition to three new electives including Civil Rights in America, Law and Society, and Introduction to Computer Programming, we now offer Advanced Placement Environmental Science.
- New York City is our classroom. This fall students traveled to the American Museum of Natural History, the Museum of the City of New York, The Paley Center for Media and the Museum of Modern Art for immersion learning trips. Thank you for your continued support of Dominican Academy. We rely on your gift to ensure that the smart girls of today become the intelligent women of tomorrow.
