BENEFITING: DOMINICAN ACADEMY OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK
ORGANIZER: DOMINICAN ACADEMY OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK
EVENT DATE: Nov 29, 2016
Dominican Academy - The place where smart girls become intelligent women.
After my three years spent at this school, I can safely say that it has easily become like a second home to me. So many new experiences have come out of my daily schedule, and I've been exposed to plenty of new things I never once imagined myself getting to experience in person.
A school situated in the heart of Manhattan provides me with an outlet to the rest of the large city that is still left unexplored. Just the commute to Dominican Academy has broadened my perspective on a majority city that I still have yet to see. Along with the surroundings comes the warm and welcoming environment; the other students are all so kind and considerate, I felt at place as soon as I stepped through the doors of the building. Ever since then, I feel as if I've made some sort of impact on the student and teacher body, whether large or small.
In response for the generosity of the community of Dominican Academy, I'd like to give back as much as I can. For establishing such a tranquil learning enviroment for me, I am infinitely grateful for all motives taken to assist in the fundraiser. Thank you so much!

- We now offer more advanced placement courses than any other Catholic high school in New York. This year in addition to three new electives including Civil Rights in America, Law and Society, and Introduction to Computer Programming, we now offer Advanced Placement Environmental Science.
- New York City is our classroom. This fall students traveled to the American Museum of Natural History, the Museum of the City of New York, The Paley Center for Media and the Museum of Modern Art for immersion learning trips. Thank you for your continued support of Dominican Academy. We rely on your gift to ensure that the smart girls of today become the intelligent women of tomorrow.
