Students Helping Honduras (SHH) Service Trip

I am an MBA student at Boston University, excited to be apart of this year’s SHH service trip to Honduras to help build a school, and offer some operational expertise wherever necessary. Due to the minimal income of a graduate student, I am finding anyway possible to raise money for this trip. Since SHH is a non-profit organization, each volunteer must pay $650 to cover expenses involved with volunteering, such as transportation, lodging, food, security, and construction supplies, plus airfare.

During the trip, I will be building classrooms for a school that is in need of aid. Many schools in Honduras operate in makeshift shacks made of rotting wood and tin, making it overcrowded and difficult for children to learn. I strongly believe that helping children get an education is the best way to fight poverty in places like Honduras.

If you are able to donate even $10, it would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to meet me to learn more about my goals for this service trip or about the organization please e-mail me and I would be more than happy to answer any questions that you may have. Also, visit SHH’s website to learn more:

Your participation in this fundraising effort would be greatly appreciated by not only me, but also the hundreds of children who will eventually walk through the doors of their new school. I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
