BENEFITING: STUDENTS OF GRANADA A NJ NONPROFIT CORPORATION
Escolar Carlos Bravo is a public school in Granada, Nicaragua that educates 1,000 students Grades K-8 - and draws its students from the poorest families in the area. The temperatures often reach 95 degrees or higher in this region. The playground at the school is used for studying and eating breakfast and lunch - but is a concrete wasteland. The only shade is a small stage that cannot possibly accomodate more than 15 children. We are in the process of building study islands - trees surrounded by circular wooden benches - which will provide an oasis out of the hot sun for studying and eating. All we need is $500 to buy materials and pay for the construction, A little goes a long way in Nicaragua! Thanks for your support. If you are on vacation traveling thorugh Nicaragua, please contact us and we will arrange for a visit to the school.
