Study Abroad & Intern in Pristina, Kosovo
Organized by: Rebecca Little
This summer I have an amazing opportunity to study and intern at an NGO in Pristina, Kosovo. As one of the world's newest democracies, Kosovo has a lot of room to develop socially, politically, and economically.
While I am there I will spend four days a week taking courses and interning at an NGO. The classes are taught by two travelling Miami University professors and cover the topics of peace building in the Balkans and the crucial role of journalism in a new democracy. My afternoons will be spent at the NGO a professor chooses for me where I will be learning the practice and importance of the organization in the region. Based on my interests, it is likely that I will be placed with an NGO focused on sustainable and green energy initiatives for efficient development.
This fundraiser is helping to finance my travel costs, room, and board during my stay. If you want to learn more about Kosovo and the program itself, you can do so at miamiuinkosovo.org.
Thank you so much.
