BENEFITING: STUPID CANCER
EVENT DATE: Apr 28, 2016
Please help me support and give back to Stupid Cancer for Young Adults. It is the largest charity that comprehensively addresses young adult cancer through advocacy, research, support, outreach, awareness, mobile health and social media. My story starts 28 years ago when I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. My life revolved around several trips and stays at Children’s Hospital. I received radiation and lost my hair. A placement of a VP Shunt was what helped saved my life. My shunt had failed quite a few times and I had to receive replacement ones. Fortunately I am healthy and hospital free today. Stupid Cancer and OMG summit helped me to connect with other amazing young adults. The people I met were truly incredible and they helped to open my eyes on the world of cancer.
