On November 4-5 I'm running a 200 mile relay race with 11 other guys to support the Laxarex Cancer Foundation. I've known far, far too many family members, friends, and friends of friends who've battled with cancer over the years.
There's a lot of cancer research fundraising that happens every day. The drugs, treatments and understanding that leads to is vitally important. But there's an important reason why I'm running this race to support Lazarex Cancer Foundation.
The way we move forward with all that research is through trials. I was shocked to learn that just over 39% of trials fail because the patients who make it in can't afford to continue to the treatments. So we're effectively setting back all that important research by missing this step. Lazarex works with cancer patients to help them with exactly these kind of expenses that keep them in trials.
So I hope you'll consider donating a few dollars to support their work, it's an incredibly impactful charitable donation!
