BENEFITING: ZERO - The End of Prostate Cancer
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2016
Maybe the third time will be the charm. I am running the TCS NYC marathon for the third year in a row in memory of my Dad, Dr. John J Straumanis.
Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of male cancer death, killing a man every 18 minutes. Yet, there is hope: 99 percent survive when it's caught early.
Proceeds raised by the ZERO Prostate Cancer Endurance Team will support ZERO —The End of Prostate Cancer and its mission to end prostate cancer through awareness, outreach, advocacy and research.
The New York City Marathon has grown from a Central Park race with 55 finishers to the world's biggest and most popular marathon. Now each year, more than 48,000 athletes take the challenge and participate in this exciting event. Run with the world's best and change lives in your community at the same time!
