BENEFITING: WILDLAND FIREFIGHTER FOUNDATION
Team Yeti is racing the Boise Ironman 70.3 Boise on Saturday, June 13th to honor the memory of Mark Urban. Thats a 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile bike and a 13.1 mile run. It started when Sara Quaglia lost her brother, a respected Smokejumper in a training accident in 2013. Many of us pledged to do this race Mark and Sara were going to compete in as brother and sister. We have been attempting to use the pain of Marks loss to motivate and guide us in using our energy to better ourselves, and better the world we live in. The energy that Mark left here is still with us affecting positive change every day. So many people helped us out in getting out to Boise and we want to make sure that we give something back. We hope this to be the first of many fundraisers to help causes that were integral in Mark, and our, life and development. When Mark passed the Wildland Firefighter Foundation was there to help Marks family come together in Boise to be at his memorial and also to be in the majestic land he chose to call home. The Wildland Firefighter Foundation continues to support Firefighters and their families who suffer troubles and loss of life. Please consider supporting them and the important work that they do. Let your compassion spread like wildfire.
