BENEFITING: Grid Alternatives
EVENT DATE: Oct 20, 2015
In October 2015, GRID Alternatives will be leading trip to Nicaragua with volunteers from SunEdison to install an off-grid photovoltaic system on a primary school called Isabel Arana in the community of Sector 2, located at San Fernando Island in Solentiname. The photovoltaic system that GRID volunteers will install will provide lights and AC power, which will support and improve the quality of communication, education, and recreation for community members.
As a way to make an even bigger impact, the SunEdison volunteer team has organized a donation drive to benefit the school. Your donations will be dedicated exclusively to providing much needed:
- school supplies
- stickers, rulers
- sports equipment
- board games
