Sunshine for Agatka
Organized by: Katarzyna Omar
Last April my friend Kasia gave a birth to her daughter Agatka. She was born on time, and nothing predicted, what life was about to bring us. Unfortunately, in her first 24 hours of life, Agatka experienced some aggressive body attacks and seizures. They would repeat several to several tens times a day. Finally, after spending her first 4 months of life at the hospital, Agatka was diagnosed. It was congenital, drug resistant epilepsy of unknown etiology. Currently, Agatka is 11 months old. She does not crawl, turn to sides, and she can't even hold her head up. Despite all her medical problems, Agatka brings lots of joy, love, peace and warmth into our family and lives. Every day, we fight to give her a better life. We want to provide her with everything that we can, and we want to give her a chance for proper development. We are fighting for every little step, or improvement. Unfortunately, to do that, Agatka needs constant, expensive rehabilitation, treatment, a specialized equipment and care. That costs thousands of dollars each month. If you are not able to help us, we understand, but please share this message with everyone that you think could help us.
