Why Elle should be a StubbyDog Superhero:
Elle hopes to change the world for pit bulls!
Elle is a special girl, loved by every old and new friend she meets, and should be a StubbyDog SuperHero because her life is dedicated to helping others. She is the greatest teacher I know, helping people understand that to allow the opportunity for positive change, you have to learn to open your heart for the benefit of unconditional love.
Elle was destined for her job as a therapy dog because of her bubbly attitude and friendly, gentle nature. She started volunteering in 2010 just 4 months after becoming a AKC Canine Good Citizen and was the first pit bull in Halifax County to pass the test. She inspired "Tail Wagging Tales" a therapy dog reading program and it made a huge impact in a child's life because he overcame his fear of dogs! Last year she earned the AKC Therapy Dog Title and this year, Cesarsway.com recognized her a runner up Pit Bull of the Year Winner. She was a 2012 AHA Hero Dog Awards Therapy Dog Nominee. Elle was on the cover and a featured extraordinary ambassador in American Dog Magazine and we decided to take a copy to share our great news with the Mayor.
Elle looks forward to visiting her friends at the retirement home, library, and Vaughan Elementary School. She likes to paw it forward, helping other dogs with socialization at our weekly community group pack walks and by raising awareness and money to help Rainbow Rescue. We regularly attend public events reaching out to the community to teach families about dog safety, promote responsible ownership, and provide breed education. This gives Elle a chance to create for people a positive connection with pit bulls because of her sweet, magnetic personality, attracting so many to fall in love with her while having an open mind and a big heart.
I know with my best friend Elle by my side, StubbyDog and the SuperHero Teams we can all change the future for pit bulls!
