BENEFITING: AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY
When I was a little girl I thought my Dad was Superman -- the real Superman, flying through the skies to save the world while I slept at night. (It wasn't *that* far-fetched a childish fancy -- underneath the shaving cream and without the mustache, he looked a lot like Christopher Reeve!) Seeing my Superhero fight through surgeries, chemotherapies, and horrible side effects like nausea, exhaustion, and anxiety, unable to do basic things without help was terrifying.
My Dad will celebrate 8 years of being cancer free this summer -- but not everyone has that chance. It's time for a change. I want to create a world where no kid ever has to see a parent struggle through cancer, to grow up too soon with responsibilities they shouldn't have to shoulder. A world with less cancer, and more Superhero birthday parties.
Please support my efforts to create a world free from cancer. (That's how you can get a silly-cool superhero avatar like mine!)
