BENEFITING: National Blood Clot Alliance
EVENT DATE: Aug 28, 2016
Anna embodied both brains and beauty. Her smile was contagious and she had the personality to match it. Then, six years ago, the unthinkable happened. I lost my best friend, Anna, to a blood clot just one month after her 23rd birthday. In memory of this beautiful girl, I am raising money for the National Blood Clot Alliance in Anna’s name.
The National Blood Clot Alliance (NBCA) is a 501(c)(3), non-profit, voluntary health organization dedicated to advancing the prevention, early diagnosis and successful treatment of life-threatening blood clots such as deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, and clot-provoked stroke. As I train for and compete in my first half ironman on August 28th, please help support me and spread the word about blood clots!
