On December 14, 2012 many young children around the world are spending their time thinking about the holidays and the fun they expect to have.
For the children attending Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, CT, a normally joyous time of the year has been rocked by violence. Where laughter and innocence should be, these children now have one of the worst modern day tragedies on North American soil on their mind.
No amount of money can help the families who lost a loved one, no sequence of words can undo the damage caused today. The child survivors of Sandy Hook Elementary School will forever be changed by this event, however we can work to cheer up their lives a little in time for the holidays.
Instead of sending money to the school/victims, I want to send art supplies, toys, sports equipment, coloring books, and any other gifts that can make school enjoyable once again for these children.
We'll never be able to erase the memories of today from their minds, however we can try getting these children to think about fun and happiness once again.
