Support for SDSU Police Brutality Victim
Organized by: Bo Diego
On Thursday, September 15, Marquis Campbell was attacked by SDSU police and subsequently slandered as a trespasser and drug abuser in a campus-wide email by SDSU president Elliot Hirshman and SDSU police chief Joshua Mays. In light of current nationwide cases of police brutality, this incident highlights a broader pattern of SDSU administration bullying, repression, and racism on campus. SDSU police have a history of racial profiling and have recently increased their presence on campus, particularly in student-of-color spaces.
