LINDBERGH STRING ORCHESTRA DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION wrote -
While you read our story, you may want to play this video from one of the high school's fabulous orchestras, representing the capstone of Lindbergh’s strings program and the culmination of the students' years of education, practice, and support. Remember, LSODA’s program is not limited to supporting the high school orchestras. At Lindbergh, the strings program is cohesive from school level to the next one up and works as an integrated unit, each level preparing and building for the next challenging and wonderful step.
Lindbergh String Orchestra Development Association has two important objectives that drive its fundraising:
1. To support the Lindbergh School District’s Grades 4-12 orchestra program in its efforts to provide quality string music instruction in a fully articulated and stable program that serves approximately 400 of students in the district by assisting in the funding of professional development for faculty, educational opportunities in music instruction for the students, sponsoring college scholarships to graduating seniors, acknowledging students for their excellence in musicianship, and facilitating other needs related to increasing the experience of music for the students .
2. To offer students with financial need an instrument to allow them to participate in the strings program so that they, too, can reap the benefits associated with the study of music and experience total acceptance and full participation in the school community.
