BENEFITING: The Manchester Citizens Corporation
In late June 2017, our neighbor Henry Dougherty died suddenly at his home in Manchester on Pittsburgh's Northside. Henry was 29 years old. His 30th birthday would have been on July 19.
His survivors include his partner of ten years, Brittany, and their toddler daughter, Brynn. We are collecting donations to support Brittany and Brynn during this difficult time. That's what neighbors do.
Henry grew up in Shaler. He liked landscaping work and loved building models. Henry was very close to his family and loved being a father. I remember Henry walking down the street with his housecat, Stitch who acted more like a dog, walking with the family as they strolled with Brynn each day. Henry would occasionally call out to Stitch to come home. Stitch is very sad, too.
Henry was a good neighbor. He was quick to lend a hand when someone had to juggle packages or carry a heavy load. He always said hello and smiled. We will miss him. We know that his family misses him dearly and have set up this fund to allow neighbors a chance to support Brittany and Brynn. They will face unexpected expenses as they build a new life without Henry so every contribution will help.
Donations will go to Manchester Citizens Corporation who will administer the funds per our agreement with Brittany.
