As many of you know, I LOVE YOGA!!! I am also a US Army veteran.
There are several studies proving how yoga and meditation help decrease anxiety and stress. Yoga and meditation has been proven to help heal depression. Yoga is a great form of exercise too!
Current military members and veterans are facing several stressors today.
Many veterans are suffering from PTSD and over 20 veterans commit suicide each day!!! Leaving behind spouses, children, parents, siblings, pets and friends.
This needs to stop!!! Please help me in spreading the word that yoga and meditation can help. Encourage others to try yoga and experience the mindfulness for themselves. I joined a fundraiser with Warriors for Healing. This foundation helps raise and spread awareness about the healing powers of yoga and meditation, specifically for veterans. We would appreciate any donation. I encourage everyone to try yoga, and invite your family and friends to practice as well.
