Since April 2015 over 250,000 refugees have fled to neighboring countries as a result of the ongoing crises in Burundi where violence and persecution have become the norm. Our project is focused on helping vulnerable refugee children and youth currently living in Nakivale Settlement in Uganda by providing for their school fees, books and uniforms for one year. We have partnered with local groups to identify 50 of the most vulnerable children in the Nakivale settlement that either cannot afford or soon will not be able to afford the cost of school. Your support can make a tremendous difference in helping these children to receive an education!
Specifically, your sponsorship creates more freedom for these boys and girls by making the following possible:
o Directly pay for their school fees, uniforms and books for one year.
o Assist at least 17 primary school children and 33 secondary (high school) children.
Your support will have greater effects than just educating 50 refugee children. Providing education will help improve the general quality of life of not only those educated but those living in their community as well.
The more funding we receive the more children we can sponsor!
